Anybody know whats going on in Parry Sound Ontario?
There is a message on the OFSC web site that states...
"Considering the actions of the Ministry of Labor against the volunteer grooming association, West Parry Sound Snowsport Association conducting business as Parry Sound Snowmobile District, the board of directors have ceased all operations with the exception of administration and will list all trails as closed until further notice."

I heard on the news last night that the ministry of labor is involved due to the death of a groomer last year.Apparently there are charges being laid due to the fact that the groomer was being paid,having said even being a volunteer it's still considered a workplace.My impression from the newscast is the trails will remain closed and that they might even close down for the rest of the season.

I just received an email stating that they have resumed operations and are working on reopening all trails.
