Midland and Penetang area

Trails around here are good to go but Georgian Bay is still very unstable in it's ice thicknesses. Stay of the bay and you will be ok! The bay is really slushy and this new mild spell aint helping it at all really. Lots of sleds bogging down in the slush and getting really stuck. We need a cold snap to fix the bay up!! Also keep in mind that even though our trails are good, nearby areas have not had the snowfall Midland and Penetang have had. It seems that the snow just hit us mainly and areas around us got very little!

The Midland and Penetang areas are looking great in the trail department but remember to stay off Georgian Bay as it is still unsafe. We just pulled a man out of the drink near the mouth of the Wye River. He was in there for half an hour waiting for help! The whistle he was blowing caught the attention of other people who helped him out!
Anyways....as long as you stick to the trails around here you are good to go!! Have a blast! It's also winterfest or something like that this weekend in Midland.
