Cool Tip-Up Town

Plan on heading up to the cabin for the weekend! Any one know the conditions? I've been checking at Michigan Snowmobiling, Houghton Lake Snowmobile Trail, Houghton Lake Michigan, but word of mouth is much more reliable. By the way, we're all dressing up in Vintage snowsuits, helmets ect. should be quite comical. Thanks and happy trails!

I have a friend in houghton Lake that I'll be checking with again this week, As of now 3-4 inches on the ground with 5" lake ice.
Temps should be droping fast by the weekend and I was wondering if the vintage gear would be as warm as the new High tech stuff?
Our clan will be there so if conditions are not the best, Then there is still the Long Branch or Limberlost...

Gives "drive 55" a whole new meaning.

w-branch is in the midst of getting another 2" as i type... maybe 3"... but it's wet heavy snow.... so it'll be good for the "base" as long as the temp drops by tomorrow i hope... it's been sitting around 31-32 degrees for the last couple of days... so it's been a "wet" snow.... but snow none-the-less...

I will also be there for TUT. Hopefully there will be enough snow to go around as they are expecting quite a crowd.

Just off the phone with Houghton Lake, looking good for the weekend, 5" of base with 4" of fresh stuff, Lake ice about 7"+. This is the weekend of little sleep. Sled all night til Breakfast(coyles old 27 n of 55) After, Some of us will rest and others will wrench on sleds in the the barn before we do it all again. Oh Yes pit stops at the bars Long Branch, Limberlost and the Comfort Suites(Blew-bye-you)where the drags will be at Saturday, Get your runs in before they shut it down! (We should have it plowed) Sounds cool.
