If we could just make it to wednesday or even tonight 8pm is kind of the freezing point line.... this cold front is coming in like a rapped ape.. wednesday's high should be a high of 10ish!!!!... .but the problem is we have to make it with some kind of white stuff on the ground... high of 40 today and rain from 2pm to 6pm or so......

hopefully after 8pm it will be "snowing", but don't think it will be very measurable maybe an 1.5".... lake effect maybe more up in boyne falls/reaching to gaylord ... not much "recovery snow" untill friday (2-3")and that's just friday.... it will stay cold though... but still sucks ass.... doesn't mater at all if there is now snow and it's cold out and not snowing......

i'll get a yardstick pic in an hour....

CHEERS TO SOMEONE ASSASSINATING MOTHERINLAW NATURE!!!
ps i'll get that yardstick pic up when it gets light out...

It wasnt that bad, considering the lake is only about 60 acres. Since everything is private, and there are no power lines im kinda limited to where i can ride. Now if i would have been on the Titabawassee, that would have been embarrassing.

EDIT; 3:35pm 39degrees and it looks like the snow is just coming up on the west side of lake michigan prett big snow front from the quad cities up to duluth!!... SO CV you should be getting some snow at about 7-7:30pm then 8-8:30pm up here... SR you're looking about the same time... about 8pm for snow...maybe a little earlier for all of us.. we'll see...

CV KEEP US POSTED when it starts to snow...

I just saw the weather report. Suppose to hit good after midnight. Miserable for the drive to work in the morning. Hope all the SNOW holds out for the middle of Feb. for the RIDE! I'm thinking the snow in the driveway up north is gone?

yaaa.. it's pretty much gone on all the driveways even the "snowbird" driveways are pretty much punching through in spots if not just an 1" on the driveways... you'll be fine.... obviously i'll keep you posted before you get up here and you can make the "executive" decision if you want me to "get-r-done" before you come up.... just give me a couple days notice on the driveway.....

ya that morning drive is going to suck at home/down you way!!

All the schools decided this morning that the back roads were to slick for the buses, with the weather thats coming in now, i dont foresee the kiddies going to school tomorrow either. Here is a great weather website that i found at another snowmobile site.

http

I talked to my dad last night, he said all of the snow was gone around his place and it was raining at the time. I haven't talked to him today, but will get another report from him tomorrow. Gotta check up on the old man, make sure he's not to lonely.

anyway, colder than $hit compared to 41 degrees 7hrs ago!! wow... got probably 2" of snow, would have been more but 30mph wind on the guage.... 0 degrees on the temp!! -23 windchill!! wooohooooo... looks like just north of grayling then up to the soo got some sweet snow... but it was 30mph wind in that storm.... so i bet there ar a lot of big ass drifts!!

CHEERS!!

About 4" on the ground right now and still coming down at a good pace 1-2" per hour. Didnt have to use 4wd to go to work, but maybe on the way home. Looks like i'll be plowing snow with the tractor tonight as they say 8-10" along 69 . I havent called my dad yet this morning to see what he is up too, but channel 5 said there was around 2" in Gladwin at 6am this morning. I hope ya'll get it up there, and it stays up there. Im still hoping to get up there with the sled on the 22nd, i think its going to come down to me going to a poker game the previous weekend, or going up that weekend. Decisions Decisions!
This Yamaha that i have, the guy didnt know anything about it, so i was unsure as to how it was going to run. It runs great, i just cant wait to see what it can really do, ive had it up to 70, but run out of ice to quick. For being an 89 it rides pretty good, nothing like the SC10-3, that i had on my Ski Doo, but its better than a 1970's sled!

Chris, did you go look at that Polaris? I keep telling my dad i will bring the wifes sled up for him, but being 70 yrs old all he wants to do is crosswords and stay warm!
