Hey raceage. I'm up in Crystal Lake. I've got a group going up to Boulder Junction in two weeks. I've never been up there, but I hear the trails are excellent, some of the best in the country. There's two feet of snow on the ground all across that area right now. You're hitting it at the perfect time. Have fun!

hey I was supposed to be going up there this weekend too! Unfortunately I have had every bolt apart on my sled, besides tearing down my engine, and want some snow around here to do a little test driving before hauling up there. So we postponed to Feb 17-19. My first time up there as well so let me know how the trails are and what to expect as a first timer. thanks

hey guys, got back from the minocqua area last night. the trails were awesome. some of them got really bumpy towards the end of yesterday, but i had a blast. didn't have any sled problems other than mine not wanting to start on saturday morning. on the way up it was snowing and the mist from the truck had gotten in the plug caps, dried tham out and it popped right off.

it's definitely different up there than it is down here. snowmobiling isn't a crime up there like it is here. seems like everyone around here is always bustin you chops about riding.

overall, a good weekend.

Glad to hear it. If the snow base can make ten more days with a fresh dusting or two, I should be fine.

ITS ON 45 ABOUT 1 1/2 MILES NORTH OF THREE LAKES ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE TRAILS RUN RIGHT BY IT AND THERE IS A SIGN THAT POINTS OUT THE PATH TO GET THERE.

JUST CAME BACK FROM EAGLE RIVER. TRAILS IN EAGLE RIVER WERE A LITTLE CUT UP FROM ALL THE TRAFFIC. ONCE NORTH OF EAGLE RIVER TRAILS WERE PRETTY GOOD. SOME ICE ON TURNS BUT NOT TO BAD. BEST SLEDDING WAS IN THE U P. SATURDAY WE TRAILERED UP TO WATERSMEET AND WENT NORTH FROM THERE. THE TRAILS WHERE REAL NICE IN THE U P. WE ROAD FROM WATERSMEET AROUND THE EAST SIDE OF LAKE GOGIBEC UP TO SILVER CITY. WE THEN WENT TO THE PORCUPINE MOUNTAINS SOUTH TO THE WEST SIDE OF LAKE GOGIBEC AND BACK TO WATERSMEET. WE ROAD ABOUT 450MILES BETWEEN FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. IT STARTED SNOWING ON SUNDAY WHEN WE WERE LEAVING. THEY COULD USE MORE SNOW IN THE EAGLE RIVER AREA BUT NORTH OF THAT IT THE CONDITIONS WERE REAL NICE.

Hey guys, I just got back from Boulder Junction yesterday. The trails were great. Better in the morning, but still very ridable. We just happened to pick the coldest weekend of the year. It was 23 below (F) when we woke up on Saturday morning! It got up to about 4 below, so we bundled up and rode. All in all, a great weekend. They could use another coating of snow for the upcoming weekend to smooth everything out, but if it stays cold, you should be able to ride next weekend.

JUST CAME BACK LAST NIGHT, TRAILS WERE GOOD THURSDAY AND FRIDAY MORNING. IN TOWN WAS DRY BUT TRAILS WERE GOOD. SATURDAY DIDNT GO OUT BECAUSE IT WAS SO WARM THE TRAILS WERE LIKE MUD RIVERS. THEY DID GET ALOT OF SNOW LAST NIGHT AND ARE GOING TO GET 3-5 MORE TODAY. SO IT MIGHT BE GOOD TILL THE WEEKEND. MOST LIKLEY THIS WILL BE THE LAST WEEK. THE BASE IS MOSTLY GONE SO WHAT EVER THEY GET THIS WEEK WILL BE WHATS ON THE TRAILS.
