Canada/Ontario/Parry sound
The trails are in decent shape, groomers are out nightly and there's a good base. A few wet holes but nothing serious. Most lakes are frozen and rideable swamps are still slushy and ice is thin.

Rain!!!!!
Rain has ruined everything and closed the trails!! Marshes and swamps are unthawed and lake riding is suicide! DO NOT ATTEMPT!!
We need cold weather soon!! Three weeks of cold!

any sign of it getting colder and snowing? we were planning to go to north bay, but there's a lot of water and we want the lakes to be solid. we'll probably end up going to NY at this rate...

According to weather reports northbay never saw any rain. Lakes are still really iffy right now, smaller lakes should be frozen but not solid. There is some snow in the forecast too

Well if you go to www.theweathernetwork.com and scroll to the bottom, on the left there is something called snow report. It looks like that part of quebec has a decent amount of snow, compared to us anyways. Hopefully the trails are nice out there for ya.

Damn trees, he must have been drinking and accidently stumbled onto the trail. How was the snow? Lots of it? I'm going up to north bay this weekend and i want to know what to expect.

Snow was great, about up to my knee in spots that weren't groomed.
