Under the hood detailing :-)
Figured id spend some quality time in the garage this week. I still have the other half of the exhaust heat shield, the two steering arms, can covers, and the exhaust cover attached to the belly pan.

i figure i'd go stealth...then when i open the hood to get gas (add oil) everyone will be like WTF wow that looks awesome!

i really want to do this to mine theres leaves/dirt from sitting from such a long time but i need to yank the motor out to get the full effect and dnt really want to :/ but it looks nice what you did

i wet sanded (water + soap in a spray bottle) using 1000 grit first, then bumped it up to 2000 grit. I kept the surface/sand paper pretty wet. then i used mothers mag and alum polish on the power ball. came out pretty good. the more you sand with both grits the better the shine will come out. plus you'll get rid of the surface scratches. overall, its taken about 12 hrs to do all the engine parts - dis-assy, polishing process, re-assy.

well, winter is already here....we got 1'-2' over the weekend, and we're supposed to have snow all week. depending on how much im going to break the M8 in on the logging roads this sunday

Not sure where you are in MI, but there is a good chance of trails opening on Dec 1st like they always do...just gotta to to da UP and find da snow!

It is going to be a LONG time before we ride trails. It was about 17c here yesterday, which is around 62f for my US friends...
