new to the site dont know how to add the pics keps saying file is too big, how do I make them smaller?

open the picture into paint, then click on "image" on the top, then select attributes. you can resize the picture buy pixles or buy percent. percent is the best way imo. but if you only want a portion of the picture you can cut out what you want and copy, then open it in a new paint, then resize it from there.
