Flat Lander in da Mountains

well, i finally made it to the mountains this weeked to sled. a buddy of mine at work had an extra skidoo (XP 800 151") so i rode it Fri thru Sun. Put on 50 miles, and burnt 3 tanks of gas...LOL - quite a bit different from riding the trails back in MI.

anyway, figured I'd share some pics.

the area we were riding had about 4'-5' of fresh powder. this week western WA has been pounded with snow and the mountains are even worse.

actually, no...my original statement was correct - but i didn't phrase it correctly.

Back in December, WA received a 100 yr storm (litterally) in the low elevations - producing 18-24" of snow overnight. this never happens. if snow ever falls below 1000' in the winter it will only be an inch or two, and melt off by the afternoon - close proxcimity to the pac ocean produces temperate climate with little or no snowfall (except in higher elevations). what this translated to in the mountains was an extremely heavy/deep snowfall in early december.

Anyway, no one probably cares since this thread is months old, but wanted to clarify.

You ought to come around more! Although I know you're busy over there in Wa. You can send any extra cash my way...
