her sled ,made it girly for her

so a couple yeas ago i picked up a formula s for the old lady as her first sled, and we have slowly making it girly cute for her here is a before pic "the day i picked it up"



later that winter i painted the screens and the springs on the shocks purple.and put some cheapo autozone flame decals on it
once i find a pic ill post it

then this fall we went hog wild on it





what do you guys/gals think ?

im not completely done with it, i still have to put reg numbers on it and clean the polish off the seat, and paint the springs, and do something about those silly red idlers

sweet ride, my favorite color is purple.
well a darker purple, but I was going to paint mine plum black.
not too sure yet so it will stay the same for now.

What a great job, I also would like to know what the paint was. How is it holding up? What type of prep did you do prior to spraying? Love my AC sled but the green and black is starting to wear a little thin.

i called my painter the other day, but haven't heard back from him yet, i think he was working on some harley tins, once i talk to him ill find out and post up paint specs.

ok hope your ready for this

grey PPG epoxy primer, Xotic color sparkle silver base , holographic coarse flake, 10 coats of high solids clear coat, sand flat, Xotic colors Intercoat clear W/ KK10 HOK kandy Kolor . 5 coats highsolids clear (utech C-320 it is less dense so it will flex more) sand in 800 grit wetsand in 2000 buff to a high luster finish. flake was sprayed useing the flake buster. WOW!!!! What cost more the sled or the paint job. Hope you had a good buddy paint it for you. It is one of the best paint jobs I have seen on a sled, but, I guess I will just have to get use to green. Thanks for the feed back.
