Smile Last weeks trip to the UP

last weekend, my father and i took a weekend trip to the UP. it was a really good time...like it always is. the trails were great (except #8) and it was a blast

my father picked me up from ferris state univ fri after noon, and we proceeded to drive 5 hrs to where we were staying. we stayed at the buckhorn. friday we sledded around and each put about 50 miles on the sleds

the following day we rode for 12 hrs and each put about 250 miles on our sleds. we rode from munising to marquette, and to some lil town just north west of marquette.

ne way, click on the link to see some pics

Hey, those are nice pictures. What huge bridge is that? I've never been on anything of that size. Looks like good snow and a great time.

We thought about going to the UP last weekend, but since there was over 2' of snow in Gaylord, we decided to ride there instead. Our cabin in the UP is on Drummond Island, extreme East of the UP, and that's about 6 hours from here pulling our sleds, while Gaylord is only 3. We are going all the way to Drummond next weekend for the sled races....should be a good time.

yeah, there is a lot of snow all around the lower and upper penninsulas. however i have not yet rode around the gaylord area. the main reason is because of all the riders. they seem to flock there whenever there is snow. it might be a good ride since everyone is spread out. but i dunno.

well g'luck on ur ride, let us know of the good trails and conditions

It was my first ever trip snowmobiling and I thought it was fine. There were quite a few sleds, but most of them were at the bars.
