I know what you mean Iceman. Sometimes I wish I could get a set of pipes for my vintage sleds but most of them would have to be custom made. I just got a FAST can for the Mach so hopefully it will sound even better than it does now. It also comes with the pipe but its not for the 521, so next year I might re-build the 583 and drop it back in.

I bought it used from the U.S for $50.00+ shipping. I don't think I need to make any jetting changes since I'm only using the can for now, since the pipe isn't for a 521. At least thats what I've read. I've done alot of research, and so far I havn't found any companys still making new off the shelf pipes for the PRS. I had been keeping an eye for a set for awhile.

Well, I've been working away at the Mach and have the new front suspension intalled to see how it would fit and if it needed any adjustments. The parts are off a newer PRS so the ski stance will be around 40" now. I also installed the twin pipes to see how they would fit. Soon the frame will be going out for some welding and to get sand blasted.

Looking good!.. when we had a triple in our 92 plusX the part of the frame where the front shock tower mounts too had to be cut out and re-welded for the triple pipes to fit... and you will like the bit wider stance, it makes a big difference when high speed cornering.

RJ, I already have a set of pipes for my engine. They are DG pipes and came off an 88 Formula plus with the type 537, 521. Fit is perfect, only thing I noticed is that the one pipe is in the way of the hood cable.

SEG, parts came off a 93 Plus EFI. Includes upper and lower radius rods, tie rods, sway bar, and steering arms.

Compared to the 36" stance it had before the 40" will be perfect. I never really noticed the difference until we loaded it on the trailer and both skis went between the ski guides. After that I knew I had to go to a wider stance.

SC-10 is part of the summer project, still looking for one for a decent price. Problem is I don't know what to measure. Eg; do I measure from the drivers to the front of the rails?

Thanks for the link SEG and sorry for the slow response.

Since posting these last pictures I've gotton a set of handle bars off a Formula S(my sister's machine for now), a chaincase off a 97 Mach Z, and a hydraulic brake system off a 98 Mach Z.

The purpose of getting the newer bars is to get rid of the narrow ape hanger bars that the PRS Doo's came with. I'm going to have to section the upper neck of the steering column or use a bar riser on the bar mounts to bring the bars up higher. This will allow me to use the bar pad off the Formula to give it a clean look and to make it look factory.

Nice! Did the hydraulic brake bolt right up?

I'm not sure if it will bolt up or not. The caliper will bolt to the chaincase no problem, the only thing I could see being a problem is the rotor or the clearance from the oil tank support.

So far I've only gotton the chaincase and handle bars bolted up. I need to move the counter shaft over a bit but that won't be a problem. I won't have time to get the brakes hooked up for a couple weeks because I'm pulling everything back off again to separate the bulkhead from the tunnel.

Let me know how you make out. I'd love to put hydraulics on my Mach 1.

SEG, I decided to hold off on pulling the frame apart and installed the chaincase, countershaft, rotor and drive shaft. I then installed the oil tank support. Everything bolted up to the chaincase, but I'm also running a newer axle. This allows me to use the newer chaincase cover. The caliper was next, bolted right up and the rotor had enough play side to side to center between the brake pads. The diameter of the rotor is also right. As far as I can tell everything else should bolt up and not get in the way. Might have to do something with the starting rope...maybe.
I'm going to get some pictures tonight and post them.
