K well I probably know the answer but i have been suprised before so ill ask. I recieved a set of wear rods with 4" of carbides but no wear pads. Does anyone know where I could buy some? I even thought of making my own bars the way I like them. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for all and any help!

Just run a bead of weld down them, and getn the edges of the carbide too! Then grind to an edge! That way the xcarbides wont snag on everything!

Thanks kc. I allready do that as they wear. I use a hard faceing rod. Makes them last a little longer. Just would like to "improve" these cheepy wear rods I've got. So ill have a set when I burn threw the set I've got on. Maybe ill just pull these carbides out and use them as replacements on my current set. Any thoughts?
