Go Ride Ontario!

Snowmobilers typically ride a whopping 150 million collective kilometres (99 million miles) here every season. They recognize a great thing when they see it. So those in search of the ultimate trail riding experience need look no farther than Ontario, because there's no place like this.

This Canadian province delivers over 34,000 kilometres (21,000 miles) of maintained snowmobile trails, the world's largest recreational trail network. Better yet, the entire system is totally integrated and inter-connected. So regardless of where you enter, you can ride almost anywhere in the Ontario snowbelt by trail, without interruption. Best of all, Ontario is so big that its snowmobile trails are rarely congested. In fact, you can ride all day in many regions without seeing any other traffic. Talk about having the place to yourself!

I'll vouch for the low traffic. Even on busy weekends, we'll only run into maybe five or ten other sleds tops. Enjoy Ontario.

Have you decided where you will ride?

If you are looking for an awesome ride in Ontario google RAP tour. there are several options but what it amounts to is a 3 to 5 day tour around Algonquin park. Lots of info available online.

How far away are these good trails away from Fargo, ND? We don't have much for snow.

A Dream Ride to me

I went on the Algoma railroad "Snow Train" in the summer about twenty years ago to go walleye fishing on the Montreal River. The long story of that is hilarious if not criminal but my post is about snowmobiling. My wish is to go with the right crew to Sault Ste Marie Canada unload the sleds off of the trailer and onto the train for the ride to Hearst at the end of the train line. When you get there you actually fire up and drive your sled off the train car and drive to your room. The amenities there are supposed to be just awesome and the trails there are what gets the real raves. The whole trip just sounds perfect. Just search Snow Train to find out more and tell me what you think
