Pics from 1-30

Just messing around in a clear cut area waiting for other group members.

This was actually very close to Dano & gang. Just North of Cloque MN. West of Duluth on hyw 2.
(Over 36 inches of powder on the power lines & fire roads.)

What lake is that? My house isn't all too far from there and yes we still have lots of snow... although its been 30's here the last few days.

You should have been up here a couple of week ago. There was so much snow on the lakes that you had to pretty much stand up because it would come up over the hood and windshield!

No lake. This is actually a clear cut area, one of many. Most of the clear cut sections in this area can not grow back due to the high amounts of moisture. In the summer we can't make it 100 feet down the powerline due to peat moss bogs.

We will be up again a couple times before the seasons over. You'll have to let me know if you have any free weekends to join us for a day or days. The cabin sleeps about 8 singles (x2) if you have a GF or Wife that wants to tag along. No running water or electricity, but we solve that with water jugs & a generator. Heck we even have a satelite dish hooked up!! (For heat we have an old oil stove, keeps the place no cooler then 80 degrees in below zero weather!)

Snow Freak, unfortunately the out west trip is a no go for me... I am slowly running out of alotted funds for the season & out west would put me well into the red zone if I went. (limited budget & a race season to consider this summer. )
