The second competition at this event was the long jump. As far as we are aware, the record stood at 23 metres and in order to qualify as a valid jump the rider must make the landing and ride the machine back to dry land. They rebuilt the ramp this year to give people some extra height and it really did the trick, though it was actually a bit too steep and many people landed way too flat. Anyway, here's a series from a guy who jumped 29 metres but blew the landing, the winning jump was recorded as 27 metres and pics of that are also up on my homepage ... btw sorry about the pic quality but it was 9:30pm when I took these pics ...
