Pics from the winter break

Here's some pics from up at Weyakwin lake where we have a cabin. We stayed up there for a week and the snow was awesome up there, probably about 2 feet and alot more on the sides of the lakes. There was slush on top of the ice....got stuck in that way too many times...but the ice was very solid underneith. Had one day where it was -47 celcius but the rest of the days were perfect. And the best thing about the whole week was that none of our sleds broke down

I took all the pics so there are none of me playing in the powder
The f5 is my friends who came up with us for the week. There's a few pics of the new track we put on our zr 580. The snowmobile hooks up so much better now and you dont bog down at all when playing in the powder. Me and my friend raced the zr and his firecat, it was a dead even race all the way to about 70-75 mph then the firecat pulled away(the bigger lugs on the zr slow the top speed down a bit). We got to borrow that RMK 900 for a day.....let's just say i'll never open it up wot again

Oh yeah, that last pic is a picture of a creek that my dad and his friend fell through. They were the first ones down that trail and actually missed the trail by a couple meters and ended up on the creek thinking it was the trail...that was a mistake lol. It was only about a foot or so deep but apparently was a pain in the *** to get out of.

We put on about 1200 KM's (750 miles) that week. Weyakwin is about 1 1/2 hours north of my city(P.A.) but there is sooo much more snow up there, couldn't beleive my eyes when we got there.

Everyone there had a helmet, my brothers friend that was on the firecat just did a couple circles on a little pond while we were having a break. It's too cold to go without a helmet up there.
