since SOTM/SOTS has been on going for two years now, is it possible to set up a photo gallery to display the winning sleds for each month, in addition feature the SOTS?

suggestions???

is this something others are interested in too??

I can set it up...thats fine. i wasnt necessarily voulinterring one of you guys (judges) to do it.

but i think the admin, and seg will need to have some input. I'm not sure how an image gallery would be set up on the fourm.

for example, on the rhs of your screen there is the photo of the day. i think there should be a picture of the SOTM, and a link to the SOTM photo gallery. plus a link somewhere on the main directory on the fourm.

by adding the gallery, i think it would draw more attention to the SOTM. maybe it would get more recognition.

update:

a new sotm gallery has been set up in the SOTM main forum. past sotm/sots winners will be posted by the admin. hopefully you'll see something in the next few days.

i'm assuming by your previous post when you said all winners can do the same, your referring to the fact that each individual winner will have to upload their own pictures, right?

i was under the assumption, through the emails, that the admin would upload all the pictures, and descriptions of the sled.

PI:
"...Sounds good. When can we expect to see the past SOTM/SOTS images along with the descriptions uploaded to the new gallery?..."

Admin:
"...It would have to be done by and admin. Ill take a look at it tomorrow when I have time and see how much I can get done."

so the admin will not be doing this? what about the winners who are not active, who will upload their pictures? if i had rights to do so, i would. i tried yesterday to upload my pictures, to see if there was a way in, but i couldnt. i know i wasnt a winner, however, when viewing the gallery, i was making sure no one would be able to upload any picture they wanted. (keeping it exclusive to SOTM)

then, i was under the assumption, that with my suggested layout, that was the way they'd proceed. i didnt realize the gallery would mirror image the ones we have now. personally, i dont really like the current set up for a showcase gallery.

Winners can send me the pics and I'll upload the damn things.

OR someone with access to the posted pics can move them (Rick?)

I tried to upload my son's (snowrida19) sled pics for the SOTM submissions, and had a problem.

I helped out with SOTM/SOTS, and can't do it.

I'll try again.
And I'm a life time member.
