Vintage S.O.T.M.?
Anyone interested in adding a vintage S.O.T.M. along with the regular S.O.T.M.? I set up a poll to see if there's any interest. Vote yes or no.

I'd say yes, but we haven't had enough votes on the regular SOTM....

I know. Just my point. We really need to find out if the interest is there for both.

Vintage sleds, defined as any sled Pre IFS. (it has leaf springs is the front) This would be basically any sled prior to model year '81.

Vintage SOTM
I'd like to see a vintage category, because i feel like you might up against some people's preferences right off the bat. Some people just prefer newer sleds with mods and stuff like that. Plus, there are many deserving sleds of all kinds on the forum and this would open more opportunities.
It'd be good to drum up more interest in voting too. Maybe we can put something on the forum index page - like a banner or something - to remind people that they should vote when they log in.

i'd like to see it. there have been a ton of "vintage" sledders that have joined over the year. for a while sf.com seemed like it was just geared for "new" sleds. glad to see we've encompased the whole spectrum of sleds, old to new

Maybe I didn't understand the question. When I heard Vintage sled of the month, I thought it meant old people with sleds. Thank God it's not. I was torn between IRS and Snowrida which one I was going to vote for.

RJ is right, vintage isconsidered anything without IFS. Maybe we can have a vote on those every other month, depending on how many entries we get?

I think that I'm older than both of them, therefore I'd win .
A vintage vote on alternate months and a vote on newer sleds on the other months . Then a vote at the end of the season for both vintage and new for SOTS in each category.

yes, lets do it.
for this, lets say vintage is any leaf springer. no IFS allowed. makes it real simple and offers a wide range of possibilities.
long live the old iron!

I'm saying that any sled prior to 1980 will be considered vintage. There where a few with IFS prior to that and some sleds with leaf springs after that. So, lets agree that sleds up to year 1980 are vintage and from 1981 on are not.

Rj is the definition of vintage! j/k
I agree with RJ. 1980 and prior. Lets get the ball rolling. If you have a sled that meets this criteria, send in your pics.
