1994 Ski Doo MXZ electrical issue?

I have a 1994 MXZ 470 with 241 miles on it. Gotr it out and running today for the first time in about 3 years. Ran around the yard all the lights, tach etcetera were all working. The sled kept running but lost lights everywhere, tach everything. Shut it off restarted nio trouble but noything for power. Found a single fuse holder that I think is a resistor shown in the service manual C-6 if my grey memory serves. Pipe was hot so I thought I'd ask to potentially save time and some of the little hair I have left. Any suggestions of how to look for this issue or what it may be is greatly appreciated. God bless, Talon

The regulator probably went bad. Measure the voltage across the two yellow wires. (yellow and yellow/blk). Should be around 12-14 volts A/C.

Any higher and the regulator is not working. The regulator on that machine is probably under the carbs mounted to the tunnel. (read PIA to get to).

Do as stated above. You should also have 30-40VAC going INTO the regulator. If you don't, the lighting coil on the stator probably went.
