1995 Mach Z 780 Triple ??????s

Went and looked at the Mach Z 780 yesterday and it really looked in nice condition it only has 2300 miles.

I called a couple of the dealers around town and they said that they have heard of them having crank problems. Is this a big issue with the triples or this model to be exact.

The sled is real clean, the only thing I saw that would need fixed is this bracket that is right behind the front shock on the right side as you sit on the sled is missing. Everything seems straight it just looks like the bracket busted off - it looks to be some sort or sway bar or something.

The guy wants 1500 but I am not sure if I should wait to see if there are better deals as we get closer to winter or snatch this sled up.

I have been debating going to the White Star Auction in November. Any suggestions????

Why would you even consider it if 2 dealers said they have problems?? Plus it sounds as if it already needs work (bracket).

There are a lot of sleds out there in that price range (mine included).....keep shopping! Just my $.02

I've got 2 Mach Z's, both trouble free. They did indeed have crank and clutch problems in 93 and 94, but there were recalls on both. See if it has been fixed, also offer him $1200 for it. Can't hurt.
