I am trying to find a used but good cheap cdi box and coil off a 1995 formula 583. Other years and motors may work. 580, 670 etc... Trying to trouble shoot a possible electrical problem. Motor will run for about 30 sec then die takes for ever to start. Has comp on both cyl. Fuel pump should be good and carbs clean and adjusted. Read somewhere may be the stator and a wire is heating up and coming off till it cools...Any help, advice very much appreciated!!!!!

Get a spark tester and see if it's definitely spark first. 30 seconds is way too short of a time for a stator to overheat, and CDI's are usually good or bad, period. You need to check into it further. Let me know what you find!
