Should I put pics in?

Just trying to decide weather to pic the track on the MXZ 600 I picked up this summer. If I do, I think 96 will be enough. What's your thought's?

If you're climbing a lot of icy hills, ect then do it. I never had picks on my sleds until i got the Mach Z, but can't really tell the difference except during high speed take off's.

I never had picks either in any of the sleds. For the riding we do, mainly trails and river riding, I didn't see a need. My son wants them in, but I'm not sure weather to do it.

personally i like pics, best bang for the buck upgrade for any sled. Why? Because it helps to limit track slip. It wont get rid of it all together, but its a fairly cheep thing. I picked my sled once i got it cuz i live on a pond and i would always loose the rear end around corners(it would kick out). Yes it still does slide but not as much. Its more of a safety thing too. Lets say ur riding at night after a hot day and the snow melted. Well now its ice and if you have to stop in a hurry, its not gunna happen. But then when it gets icy i bring out the ice tires for my quad and thats a blast till i get kicked off of my family's trail cuz im on a quad.

But if u dont pick ur sled, then the track will last longer. Tracks are very expensive.

I have riden both with and without picks, I think do it if u ride in icy/hardpacked conditions. If i didnt ride on ice, I would not pick it.

they're a good upgrade. i could feel the difference, but got used to them quick. my 500 is picked, the rev isnt and will not be. one, it's my dad's sled mainly and he doesnt like pics, and two, it does fine without. we might get the ice claw (i think that's what it's called) track for it, which has mini picks.

96 would be enough i bet.

I can see that picks are alittle cheaper that carbide studs, but will they last longer? I'm not sure. I've never had picks b4
