looking at an '01 summit for sale. it needs motor work and says there is no resistance when u pull the chord. says it might be the crankshaft? anybody know the prices would be to fix the block? thnx

depending on the crank, 1000. if you need a new crank +1000, you almost would be better of to buy a new motor.

If it has no resistance, it's probably the pistons/cylinders, not the crank. You can have a crank rebuilt and balanced for less than $500 (just did a mach 1 crank, $480). You'd have to take it apart to be sure.
