Question Snowmobile Backfires

Hi All,

Just wondering what could cause a Snowmobile to back fire every few times I use reverse?

This is on a 2003 Skidoo MXZ600 RER with electronic reverse.

I thought it could be loading up or spark plugs.

What do you think?

Thanks,

Dennis

Does it have some sort of ignition interrupt switch when shifting into reverse (takes the pre-load off of the gears)? If so, look there since it might have an adjustment.

there must be a weak signal to the motor for the rer to kick in.............kinda like it is half ast running before it shuts of and runs backward.

Call your dealer. I think I heard about a bulletin on that issue.
