Just changed throttle cable on a 96 mach1 stated it and it just want to take off. What is the way that the sleaves go back into the carb thought it was all the way down. could they of given me the wrong cable

The carb slides do go all the way down. Make sure you thread the cable bolt thing on top of the carb all the way in, then turn them out evenly until you get about 1/8 inch of play on the throttle handle.
