No idea. If it had a pump fail it would be doing it on all 3. Did you check the lines?

That's one of the most unusual things I have ever heard. What have u done to the sled before, what was it doing before this, do u premix as well, what oil do u run, is there an inline filter? Little more detail would be nice. My geuss is, ur gonna need a new pump.

I haven't done anything it has aftermarkets reeds and a pipe but it worked fine that one day just started blowing oil out the exhaust an smoking like crazy. I pulled the plug out of the # 2 cylinder and pulled it over and oil actually hit the roof

Remove the oil injection line going to that cylinder and start it. You won't hurt the engine by doing this quickly. See if oil shoots out of that line. If it does, the oil injection pump probably failed.

I'm going to try removing the oil line I had to pick it back up from a dealer as they wanted just under a thousand dollars just to remove and re install the motor , plus the cost to fix what ever the problem is . I'm going to try that tonight so if oil shoots out of the line than I guess the pump is bad

I took the line off and ran the sled. From what I could see there was a fair bit of oil coming out of the line but it smokes like crazy so it's hard to see. The dealership said it could be a crankshaft seal ?? I have no clue where to go from here with this any help would be greatly appreciated

What do you mean by fair? Does it match the others? Check the others to make sure they are all coming out at the same rate. A crank seal won't cause it to put out too much oil.

So what do you think if both oil lines are putting out the same amount of oil to each cylinder

If both lines are putting out a lot of oil, the pump failed. When the pumps fail, they automatically go to full open so they don't blow the motor.

Ok I just ordered a new oil pump so I'm gonna change it and see what happens in the mean time I need to drain the oil that has flooded the bottom end in the cylinder on the clutch side also I want to find out how to drain the gas out of the sled as it has been sitting all year so a fresh tank of gas won't hurt

After you replace the pump, run it and it'll work the oil out of it. It'll smoke for a while but it will come out of it.

The only pump I can find is from a 2001 mxz 600 adrenaline. Does any body know if this pump will work. I think it will as the engine and chassis are the same

The part # for the oil pump I ordered is different. It's from a 2001 600 adrenaline and my sled is a 99 mxz 600. The pumps are identical though do you think this will be ok. I was also thinking about changing the check valves on both cylinder because I don't want to have to keep pulling the motor out
