94 Formula Z 583 suspension upgrade

I've been pondering this upgrade for awhile. I have access to a suspension form a 98 MXZ800.

My questions:

Which suspension was stock in my sled? (C-7?)

Which suspension is the one out of the 98 MXZ800? SC10 or SC10-2?

If it's the SC-10 should I try to find an SC10-2?

Which thread do I use for installation instructions?

or

Thanks for all the help guys!

The Sc-10/2 is what you have. The 94 had the C7. Both threads apply to a PRS suspended sled, so yours will be slightly different.

Thanks for the reply SEG, you seem to be the suspension swap guy around here

Well, I finally had time to pick up the suspension, it's in excellent shape and the shocks look almost new, supposedly the machine it came out of only had around 1000 miles on it.

The machine it came out of was a 98 Mach Z 800. The tunnel wasn't available for measuring the skid mounting holes.
Let me know if I'm on the proper path here:

Is mine a DSA suspended sled then? (It says DSA on the trailing arms)

I'm guessing I can re-use the middle idler off of my sled.

Strap the new suspension to 24 3/4" CTC

Do I move my rear mounts ahead like in this thread?
http://http://www.snowmobileforum.co...ork-begin.html

Then how do I get my front hole locations?

Easy way is to put the two skids side by side and see how much longer the front arm is and move the mount hole that much forward.

Correct. Use your idler too.
