Question...
Hi There,
I'm new to this forum, so please don't slaughter me if I posted this in the wrong place. I'm looking to buy my first sled in a long time...basically to use for ice fishing, bombing around my woodlot, taking the kids around the yard, and the once/twice a year ride with my neighbor who has a 99 Skandic. Ive narrowed it down to two sleds that are the same money:
1. 1996 Formula III 600 with triple pipes and a rebuilt motor (professionally done)...motor has 12 miles, chassis a little over 7k. $500.00 cash...its been painted black with blue accents, and blue pipes.
or
2. 1992 Arctic Cat Jag 440 w/ 2800 original miles. Ski Skins, in good shape. Owned by an older man...$500.00
Which do you think is the best sled for my money and usage...I can tell you that next year I plan to purchase a new sled and this sled will become my wifes.
I worry about the reliability of the triple, I've heard horror stories of others burning cylinders and costly repairs...but at the same token the Jag is older than I would like. The money is right on either one, so it is more about longevity.
Thanks for your time!
