Speed sensor

Anyone familiar with the 2004 summit 800 rev? I think I have a bad speed sensor. To replace it, take out 3 bolts, then what? Any help would be appreciated. I know the relay& voltage regulator is good, so what else could cause just the odometer & Speedo needle to jump?

If the pickup has been damaged or the rotor plate is rusty or the sensor is out of adjustment [not gapped correctly to the plate], these can all contribute to you problem.
