'98 440 LE Touring Suspension Question

Our 98 440 LE Touring seems to have too much weight on the skis. The skis really bite into the snow and it's much harder to steer than my GT. Sled is stock, except for ski skins. Non adjustible front shocks. The front shock of the skid is also non adjustable.

The strap is set to the second hole, so it's almost all the way out. Rear spring cams are at the second lightest setting.

Beyond switching out the ski shocks or middle shock for new adjustable ones, is there something else I could doo to relieve ski pressure? I was thinking about lengening the strap to the last hole, but really don't want ski lift on acceloration.

Yeah, loosen the strap. You should have slack in the strap while it sits on the ground. While your shocks are not likely adjustable, your shock springs are.
Also, jack your front end up and see how your skis are riding. They should be level or tips up a bit. Good luck.

Nope, shock springs on the front suspension and on the middle shock are not adjustable. If it were an SLE model, they would be, but the SE are not. Ski rubbers are brand new the alignment was adjusted when I swapped them out. I'll try loosening the strap to the last hole.

Yeah, you're right. Not many options from there. Lighten up the strap and see. Merry Christmas.
