Lightbulb rev

I bought a 600 H.O. it rides and handles like a dream, but I just do not seem to get any juice out of it. The dealership told me I needed to have 10hrs on it before it would kick in. Well 10hrs has come and gone, now they want me to buy this and that to enhance the performance. I mean it tops out at 60mph. I have 1997 340 puma that goes faster than that. Any Ideas or solutions?

I would expect a new 600 HO would run upwards of 100+ with lots of power inbetween. I suspect something is definately wrong. Are the revs getting high enough?

What temperature are you running at? Do you have the right jets installed for your elevation and temperature? The wrong jets can cause some problems... but I don't think it would be enough to be like a 340. Sounds to me like something is definately wrong. Bring it back and tell them as it should have a warranty if it is new. A 600 should be getting a lot more performance than a 340.

What kind of addons are "this and that" referring to?

Our shop demo is a 600HO with the 1,25 track and a 800 with the 1 inch track , the 600 runs 96-97 mph the 800 103-104 mph and the both are still very new ....just over 10 hrs. we will soon start to drag race the two , and snow cross a 440 and 800 race REV . the 600 is a very strong runner....last weekend we ran a F7 from down south and pulled it till top end.....If I can help in anyway let me know....I'm the lead Tech at a Dealership in Northern Ont.

What sled lines do you carry? I am just interested because right now my EFI cat is having some major power loss problems. The guys at the dealership have had it over a week and still can't seem to figure out what is wrong.

The sled looses power almost randomly... feels like it bogs down, but it doesn't sound like it is bogin down. It is unusual because if you let off the gas when it begins to bog down and then get rigt back on the gas... the engine fires right back up and continues to run like not a thing is wrong. It has become worse and worse... frist noticed it at speeds above 85 last year, and now it has gotten to the point that it does it at any speed. First they thought it was a bad clutch... replaced that... didn't fix it. Then they suspected the throttle safey switch (stops engine from starting is throttle is iced open) and that didn't fix it. They reported the computer checks okay.... any ideas / have you seen anything similar to this before?

Thanks

Mark

I talked with the guys at the dealership yesterday and they said that they now suspect a fuel problem. Both them and myself have been all over the sleds electical systems finding nothing wrong.

They are going to go take it for a test ride on a local lake and hook up a fuel pressure guage (?) to see if that reveals a problems with the fuel delivery.
