600 HO riders

As you all know i will be getting a MXZ or MXZX 600 H.O. The problem is, i dont really think i will need the X package now. I rode a 2005 MXZ Renegade today on the trails and took it off a jump and it did not bottom out. Im just wondering, how much will i notice the X package shocks? Im not going to be hitting huge jumps. Also how much cheaper is just the MXZ 600 H.O over the MXZX 600 H.O? Also, im 6'3'' and 190lbs. the shocks on the renegade didnt bottom and that was on like 4 feet of air so i really dont think i will need the X package. Can you guys tell me some info here on these sleds. I am a hooked Ski-Doo fan now! I absolutely love the REV chassis!

I have been a very happy owner of the SkiDoo 600 H.O. "X" model. the big difference in the "X" package for 2005 was the addition of the SC-4 rear suspension. This includes an awesome clicker shock that lets you choose the low and high speed compression by just dialing in what feels right to you (stiffer or softer). It also has gas charged HPG front shocks which are great. I owned a 2003 ReV sport package, and I really noticed a big diffrence between the two. I ride very aggressively and found myself to be bottoming out often (even with all the adjustments turned as stiff as could be). This has not been a factor in the "X". With the "X" you also get handlebar risers, tunnel reinforcement, a racing brake (way better than the regular) braided fuel and brake lines and a few other little extras. They do make a Renegade "X" as well with all the extras I listed above on it.

Well in that case i think i will get the X package then! Because i would end up putting risers on it anyways, and i like the idea of the clicker shocks! Thanks man! Check your PM.

i know the 05 adrenleine front suspension feels harder than mine. i love the 03 set up for suspension on the X model. my only complaint with the newer X models is the pointless windshield. probably not a huge problem, depending on where you ride. the adrenaline has the HPG shocks, just no resevoir also.

plus the cool styling!

On the Ski-Doo website it says the starting price for a 2005 MXZX if you go to compare packages & specs it says: $8,349.00 for starting price, does that mean for the 600 H.O? How much should i expect to pay for a 2005? Because i dont want the 2-tec, and SDI, its more money.

You will be happy with either one. I have an 05 600 HO Adrenaline, weigh 210lbs and never bottom out and I have my blocks on soft. The reason these things dont bottom out is because the seating position has you where your weight is "shared" by the front and rear suspensions. Notice the next time you see your buddies sit on thier conventional sleds-SQUAT!!
The REV is the greatest thing since independents took over for leaf spring front ends. Dont waste time looking at anything else. Just looking at any Arctic Cat you can see how dreadfully cheap they are built, certianly the industry's black eye. Polaris are tough as hell but overpriced and quite ugly...

Hold it open
Ride a REV

talk to the dealer is all i can say on exact prices. play around with him, and he'll knock some off, and throw in some free stuff. it was a couple grand off last year. i was astounded with the prices this year on there, until i remembered they overshoot those. doesnt make sense to me...oh well. if you work with the dealer, and get to know him (we became friends with ours, helped a bit), he'll help you out.
