Any grand touring sled from your year will work. You replace it with another one.

Try Dennis Kirk they have a lot of snowmobile parts and I have had good luck with them. Drain all fluids and add new, and you should clean the clutches, and the carbs.

If you get a new engine, it will most likely have the carbs on it. Here is a link to carb cleaning though.

Try soaking the carbs in gas, I have done that and it works very well. As for the chain case, as long as you get all the oil and water out and add fresh it shouild be fine.

Is it the same engine type? You need a flywheel puller to take the flywheel off.

I Have searched for 470 motors before and they are hard to find in my area out of a sled running, if i where u I would go buy a 470 sled with a blown track or other problems with a running motor, and just pull the engine and swap it. if it was full of water and sat then I would have to assume that your crank is rusty aswell as all the bearings and everything else, and for Electric start and reverse I would personally just go buy a sled with the 2 options already on it it is alot easyer and alot less hassle

i paid 100 dollars for a sled with a blown motor, didnt turn over and the insides where completly destroyed. Then i found a guy with the same sled with a blown track for 300 dollars in running condition just to give you an idea, it would be much cheaper to get a hole sled, but since you have spend the cash to get parts I wish you the best my friend.

Hi.
Happy new year!!!
I did not have tube going from cilinder head.

i've found some videos and i see: only ONE tube is going from head, then it is 3 way splitter. one tube is going to the top of the coolant tank and another is going to the radiator. is it the simple 3 way splitter or it is someting else?

i already bought:
engine 1989year 467type without any electrics
head for my engine
crankshaft for my engine
valve and oil pump
head for not my engine
pistons
cilinders.
And only a few week ago a finished to create a home for my sled. till that time he lives outdoors.

And still did nothing for the sled. Leek of time and place. now a have a place. I'm going to California this january and going to bring missing parts. then i'll try to asemble smth =)
