1997 Skidoo 583 Bearing Teardown

I got a broken down snowmobile from a neighbour. The engine is toast. On disassemble I found something weird with the bearing. It seems to have some balls missing. Have a look at the photo… Is this normal?

Thanks,
Brad

Normal once the seals go and the grease washes out.
That would account for some of the excess engine noise too.

Can I replace the end bearings or do I need another crank?

Thanks,
Brad
