Unhappy blowing headlights

88 formula keeps burning up headlight bulbs taillight works fine any ideas

Probaly a regulator
take a volt meter and see what voltage is going to the headlight

Check regulator. Use voltmeter on AC and measure across the terminals. You should measure 12 to 16 VAC. The AC out of the stator is approx 30 VAC. The regulator keeps it around 12 to 16 VAC. If higher than 16 VAC, replace regulator.
