2006 mxz 600 ho sdi

I put some gas deicer and some injector cleaner in the gas I drove the skidoo
10 min. and the engine light starts blinking I am thinking its because of the cleaners I added to the gas the machine is running fine, since then i put a
hundred miles on it and added fresh gas at least 2 times now and the light on the dash is still blinking My Question is....is there a way to recept it so that the light stops blinking???

i had same issue about a week ago. i posted here as well to no luck. I actually took it into dealer and he read the codes off. 1. spark detonation 2. low octane 3. timing off...were the flags. started flashing on last ride when we were sub 0 temps. It was determined i got some bad gas. Unfortunately nothing you can do besides have the codes cleared by a dealer or someone with teh computer that can plug into the ecu. cost me 35$ at the dealer.

my sled is 06 mxz 500ss (very similar to yours).

also note. we cleared the codes and went riding the next weekend. after a night of riding we loaded sleds back up in the trailer. next morning mine started fine then it completely locked up while unloading (some kind of vapor lock). i ended up tearing the carbs out and cleaning them in a warm garage. found water in the bowls....cleaned everything out and and fired it up with no issues and rode the rest of the weekend. was kind of scary as when it locked up in the trailer it sounded just like losing a crank.

so to me it sounds like a water in the gas issue was the problem from the git go.

Now i know your guys sled's are newer, but the 2000 mxz i will picking up tomorrow.. Has not been rode in a year and has the old gas from last year as well..would there be a chance of my sled having the same issue? Do you recommend NOT riding it until i put new gas in??? Or is it save to put cleaner and stabilizer in it run it for a few then add in new gas?

Don't even think about starting it if it has old gas in it.Gasoline is not like it used to be,
drain the tank the best you can go to a gas station that moves alot of gas and fill it with
high test. At least now you know you have a good starting point then you can now try
and start it.Good Luck!

I have a 94 formula 583 rotax and just went through water in the fuel. I had my pumps freeze up and it blew a diaphram. I have just rebuilt both pumps, drained the tank, cleaned the carbs and changed the lines. My problem now is the you can actually see slush in the bottom of the tank. How do you get that out!!!!

If it is as much slush as you say it is bring it in a warm place let it thaw out add one or two liters of gas deicer mix in a gallon of gas then shake it around the best you can and
drain the tank dry,get some good fresh high test in it you should be good to go.
