Brakes

Here's a humourous tale for you all. After changing my brakes last week, I apparently didn't torque down the caliper properly. When I was sleddin' last night every time I hit the brakes i heard a thump, and then it just stopped happeneing. Anyway, sleddin' all night long.

Today, before work, I noticed that the caliper came completely off and was just beign held on by the Clutch cover!

BOOYA!

eh

Smallengineguy, do you recommend a lockwasher to keep this thing on, or some sort of locking nut, or even locktite? Really don't want this thing to come off again

Also, on my secondary clutch arm, should I just use washers to space out the middle? IF i keep tightening it, it is just going to pinch the bracket together.

Use a locknut with the fibre in it to lock it down, and some washers to space the arm. Should be fine, and easier than loctite if you have to remove it.
