REV 600's
My brother in-law just bought 2 new REV 600's. Anyone know anything about these sleds? He said he heard they have a good suspension.

they have great suspension. you dont have to lean in turns, its great. they have plenty of power too! funnest sled ive ever ridden; fast, yet light enough to hit jumps. and theyre perfect for jumping too. they level out, and a perfect landing just about everytime! is it the rev x? i dont like the windshields on the x model, its too small to really block the wind. and is it the sdi or h.o.?

I'll check the details on these when I see him during X-max. Can't wait to ride one. I'm sure it will be apple's and oranges compared to my v-max suspension. Although I would like to put a M-10 in mine.

If you do not lean in for turns you will see inside ski lift like any other snowmobile maybe even more so compared to an older generation sled.
The REV can kinda be compared to a dirt bike. The closer you get to the gas tank, the fast more aggressive you can take turns. You first ride you WILL be very uneasy, and almost hate the thing. But I guarentee the first set of whoops you have to pound you'll either A: go buy that M-10 susspension, or B: be looking for a sled with a more centered aggressive riding style.
Best of luck! Let us know what years he has. If it is the o3 Sport you will have issues with bottoming out. The stock set-up was geared towards a 140lb person. Nothing around $100 can't fix. (new springs all around, & find a pair of tortion springs of a 2 uper sled.) In two years when the non-re-buildable shocks are toast, time to really upgrade them puppies & truely pass people through the rough stuff!

revs are deffinity not bad sleds, but they are not as comfortable to ride as my cat. ive rode a few revs both sno x and trail, and none of the come close to the new sno pro chasis.

well, youre one of the few in-between people ive heard of. a lot of poeple, and everyone i know, either love it or hate it. the 04 AC sno pro went with the "rider forward" idea right? thats the year they introduced it?

well they have had centralized mass since 02, but in 2004 they changed rider position. the rev seat is way to bulky and wide. they dont give me a chance to stand up. there just isnt enough room b/t the seat and the controls. im 6'5

Have you ever ridden a REV.?. Until you have bite your tounge.
sesnopro & I have had a few words in the past *cough*Loud Exhaust *cough* but atleast we can agree with one thing. The rider forward position is truely the way to go. Notice I didn't say ski-doo or any other brand was the best, I am never one to be so brand loyal that I'm blind. I did however say the rider forward position will be/is the new fad & the way to go.

But I would not call it a dirt bike either though, the riding is still so much different. you can throw a dirtbike around so much easier and the suspension is so much better on a bike. I think its way easier to attack stuff on a bike than a sled. I rode bikes before sleds.

True, but compared to an older modern sled, the rider forward position is SO much easier to attack turns & whoops with.
I raced Dirt Bikes back in my prime. CR125 & then a KX 250 (for a very short jaunt) At 16 I was proud to say I ran some Novice Races at "Huricane Hills" & Millesville. To bad Elko wasn't open back then. Before that I gew up in Colorado doing A LOT of hairscrambles back before more then 15 riders entered an event. A lot of elbow rubbin' with my older brother & his friends. Even have some nice hardware in my wrist & leg to proove some of my stupid dirt bikin' mistakes.

well, sleds and bikes are totally different. but, the rev is the closest to a bike a sled's ever been! personally, i like snowmobiles better. dont really know why, i guess its because that what i started with. my bro, he likes dirtbikes better. why? because he's not as good as i am on snowmobiles i think.

With only 5 posts to his name (braman45), I think he got off on the wrong foot, and sled. (His sled).

My first impressions of the REV were pretty poor, but after a few long trail rides I've come to the conclusion that I'll never ride anything else (Well, that's until something better comes along, LOL). I love this machine and it's capabilities. By far the best sled I've ever ridden.
A couple friends have picked up new AC's and Polari' so I'm anxious to try them and compare. It would seem the competition is getting pretty tight. I really don't think anybody makes a bad sled anymore, it's all rider preference.

I agree, it's rider preverence. I still like the dependability of the Yamaha's.
