Kickstand

Kickstand (not just the nickname, you get it or you don't)... I found a kickstand that I think should work with my sled. Anybody have any experience with them? Do they ever get in the way or cause any track or clearance problems? Ever come down accidentally? I'd like to get one so I can warm up my sled places and not have to carry around a jack... http://www.mfgsupply.com/m/c/100-405.html?id=aA8PYMcE let me know what you think. Thanks!

yeah, i just rev it a bit, and let it idle...rides fine.

they make the point of preventing the track from freezing to the ground, but that rarely happens. to knock some ice out, a just lift it up and drop it a couple times...

I was told by the shop to warm it up with the track engaged, I figure this would help if I stopped and went inside somewhere along the trail for a while and if the engine cooled off.

ya it does help warm up the belt, but i only do it at the start of the day, with a track stand, if it freezes up like they all said just pick it up and drop it.

The only good thing about those is the warmup for the day or to keep the track up. Bad thing is the spring rusting and it just trails behind and smacks up into the hull. Besides if you have the strength to hold that down and pull back your sled, you wasnt riding enough...LOL
