That is a decent price for the start of the season. I would buy it.
Don't buy a can for a 583 (if you can even find one)
Spend your money on clutching and beer.

Ok... I just got some pics of it. And Sunday I think I'm going to go get it. It's about 3 hours away. How hard is it to clutch a sled? And yes sounds good lol beer and clutching

Ride it first, you will be surprised at the power of the 583.

looking at your list of sleds you have or had, I don't see that you've every had a Rotary Valve ski doo engine..you will have to get the hang of it..dont choke a warm engine..some times just hold the throttle wide open & obviously let go of the throttle when it starts...the R/V engine loves mods..!

I'd love to find a deal like that up here! The 583 is a great engine and the sled is pretty good as well. That sled would EASILY sell for $2500 Canadian.

Have fun on your new sled!

The good used sleds up here are getting scarce. I'm picking up the best deal I could find on Sunday as well. 7 hr drive south, $2000 CDN for a low mileage1997 Polaris Indy Classic. All the sleds up here are really high mileage due to the long winters and well maintained 46000 km (29000 mile) trail system in Ontario alone. I was also buying a Sled with the 583 engine. Advertized as 4000 km but turned into 14000km. I stay away from high milers.

My Bro bought a 97 with Reverse for $1,000.00.... Low miles! Looked like new and it was in the middle of the winter.

Thats because they want the clutch to engage when it starts the power band so it can snap off the line..
