Skidoo Oil...Is it worth the $$?
Hi I'm just wondering what everyone thinks about the skidoo xps mineral oil, I have a 700 triple and am afraid of blowing it up. Should I run the skidoo oil, alot of my friends say there is no problem with canadian tires premium injection oil.....any help? thanks

I dont know anything about the other brand you mentioned. But I buy the Skidoo Mineral Oil, and I dont have any complaints. I buy it in bulk at my local dealer, I bring in a 1 gallon Gas can, (I purchased can new) and they fill it up at a SIGNIFICANT discount. Because they buy it by the barrel. Or you can pay the extra 10 dollars, and get it in the 1 gallon XPS bottle.

I wouldnt see a problem with it but do a little more research before you go putting it in. I've always run Klotz in my sleds.

Personally, I would not use Canadian Tire Oil. Use Amsoil, Klotz, BRP...spend the $ on good oil. Why chance it? the dollar difference over a season between CTC Oil and some good stuff would be minimal at best. I tend to stick tothe manufactures oil.
just my $.02

Canadian Tire oil is made by Esso as far as I last heard, I have used it in my sleds as back up oil, BUT it is fairly smoky and smelly.
I want to run some Ipone through my sled this year...lol... mmmmm strawberries

I too would like to know that, I have never found a place in Ontario where it is readily available, but maybe I am just not looking in the right places...?

I have a gallon or so of CTC oil in my MX right now and it smokes like a chiminey! I got caught and had no other option so in it went to get me by. Come to think of it I fouled a plug shortly there after. Coincidence?
It does seem to burn clean in my buddies XP800 Gade for some reason.

I would spend the extra money on amsoil, klotz, or Ski-doo just because the fact that it's not worth the chance of blowing the engine. I bite the bullet, too.
