Good suspensions, and they had all the bugs worked out of them by that year.

have you ever owned a sled before? this might be a little to big for a first sled. also, do you have any information on the sled? we can let you know if it sounds like a good deal or not.

as long as you respect the power, you wont have a problem.

$2500 sounds like a pretty good deal. how many miles on it? that sled will be great for playing around in the snow!

Any other minor imperfections in an 02? My bud found one at a dealer for 2grand, 5600 miles...We are going to renegade it if he gets it how would one go about checking crankcase seals before buying?

the way i found out is does it backfire once in a while does it have trouble starting after riding for a while these can be some clues but u will have to look on the left side by the clutch and have to pull that off to see if its a dealer they prob cleaned it out ur best bet is to just have it fixed they would put a metal shim in there to keep the seal in the place thats what they did for me. tell ur buddy to talk him down a lil with 5600 miles it should be a lil cheaper! but if its in mint conditon then do it up they last a while i no alot of guys that have this sled! make sure the recalls are done the dealer will be able to tell u if it is!

The manager is a local guy, we both know him and he said he can't come down at all...sounds like bull to me but ya never know. I told my bud to do a compression test for starters and then if its low tell him he wants 400 bucks off.

I thought a more reasonable price was 1800 but thats just me...

We will see what happens, I'm going to check craigslist again. I thought he was looking for a REV but he seems to like the idea of the MXZ with a long track now. And he wasn't really looking for an 800 but I think the power idea has grown on him lol

Just sent him 18 links to MXZ's that were better deals then the one at the local dealer. Just a matter of traveling to look at them
