Question HELP!! 1999 MXZ 600 Oil Pump Question??

I need HELP, please!!! I have a 1999 MXZ 600 with a bad oil pump. I have pulled off the oil pump and it doesn't match the new one I received. I think the one I received is from an '03 MXZ 500. Does anyone know if these two pumps are compatible performance wise? At this point in time, I don't even know if the "new" one will line up with the cast. I have tried to research these two pumps online and I have not come up with much. THANKS!!

I had that feeling. I know that the original pump on the sled does not flow at idle...maybe that is the difference between the two. Thanks for the response.
