convert beaver tail

I'm thinking about converting the beaver tail to the rear end of the newer sleds. not sure what the name is of the back end. how woukld i go about changing this?

It's called a "beaver tail elimination kit".

what are peoples thoughts on this conversion? easy to do? does it give you heating problems?

What track are you running? I didnt do the conversion on mine as I ran the 1.5" track and it was tough enough keeping it cooled on a hardpacked trail. everyone I knew that ran the shorter tracks didnt seem to have the heating issues like i did. if you do do the conversion you could always look for used tunnel coolers off of a newer sled and put them on yours they are longer and will cool better but you have to put the tunnel extension on to use them.

you can but the kit on ebay for abot $140.00 us. It looks a hell of a lot nicer. I have a 121" track on mine and I have never had any heating/cooling issues.
