95 Mach 1 670 water pump shaft

Hey can anyone tell me which way the waterpump drive comes out of the case? The repair manual does not show how, and I don't want to hammer it out. I removed the c clip at the intake side. Does it just press out from the water pump side? Thanks

The bearing holds it in, press fit. It should push out toward the black gear.

Thanks SEG. Hey, what would usually cause a crank bearing to spin? The exterior one on the PTO side fell apart when I pulled the crank out of the case, but the other shows normal (2 on each end). Going to service it properly, but wondering what causes it. Any ideas?

A failing seal will cause the bearing to fail.Ski-Doo has corrected this on the newer sleds by sealing the bearings and adding grease to lubricate the bearings instead of the fuel/oil mix lubricating the bearings.
Good thing you caught it before it caused major damage.
