Question 2006 500 gtx-beeping

just bought 500 ss ran great when purchased now home and red light flashing on dash above park brake light and will not rev above 2000 or so beeping with the light any ideas?

Make sure that it is not in reverse.

Check that the key has clean contact. if it does not it will beep and it will not rev up high enough for the clutch to engage

Yea sounds like your dess cord isnt making good contact when that happens the sled drops to one cylinder and will barely run. my 03 did it every now and then I just had to wiggle the cord where it connects to the sled and it would stop.

make sure that the key is on properly and clean the area around the key spot. make sure that the reverse cables are connected properly and clean...good luck
