Good-bye to an old friend
That old friend is my 2000 Ski-Doo Formula Deluxe 380. One of our good friends and neighbors in Vermont is really interested in the sled, and we are going to sell it for $1500. It has about 3,700 miles on it and electric start and reverse. I'm really going to miss it (although it's not going far, only two houses over!) because it's the snowmobile I really learned how to ride on. But, we all move on.

Well it's official: It's sold. It'll be picked up on Colombus Day weekend. Luckily it won't be going far, only next door, so I'll still be able to see it! I know the new owners well, and I think they'll take good care of it. I hope it doesn't get mad it won't be in a garage anymore! I'll miss it...

Same thing here! I've had her since I was probably 10. Like you, it was my first real world experience of a snowmobile! I know that I'll take everything I've learned and use it on the crossfire! I can't wait!

Yeah, true. It was a great running sled. I probably only put on about 1,500-2,000 miles on it, and the majority came from last season! I was even lucky that it had electric start and reverse!

I feel your pain. I sold my first ever sled that I only had for 3 seasons, but its what I learned on. I sold it 2 years ago now. I did see it again the next season at the local club house, and the guy let me take it out for a ride. About a week about that I heard that he had tried to cut down a tree with it, which as always the sled lost. I went to see it at his house, and he gave me the travel bags and map bag that I had given him. He also let me take some parts that were salvagable, and were useable on my sled.

Pictures of my 2000 Ski-Doo Formula Deluxe 380
Well, I took some pictures a couple weekends ago for my memory, and here they are:

I feel for ya man!
It's amazing how attached we get with our toys. I still remember the sad feeling I had helping the buyer load my five year old 1983 Ski-Doo Citation SS into his trailer. I still check the online classifieds if I see one advertised for sale. I remember more about that sled than I do about most girlfriends I had in school at the time.

Thanks. Yeah, it's funny how we treat machines like babies. They get cared for, pampered, cleaned, and always have fun!

Yeah, I hear ya. When I traded in my 07 F5 LXR it was pretty tough to see her go. It was a great ride and the comfort can't be beat but I had a thirst for more power. Was tired of getting my butt kicked on the lakes
