1997 Ski Doo SLE Touring Fan Cooled

What should be aprox compression on this sled be. I am looking to
purchase it and I checked out the compression which read 90 psi on
each cylinder, is this compression all right or to low.
With that kind of compression do you think it will need pistons and rings soon?
It has around 1200 miles on it and looks in excellent condition.

Low... but did you test it with only that one spark plug removed, safety on, and the throttle wide open?

Remove all the plugs, leave ignition off and hold throttle wide open. Pull it over at least three times as fast as possible.

Well it should go up. because there will be no resistance on the pistons. So ull be able to get max compression.

what do you think the compression increase would be if it's at 90 psi now doing it the wrong way and then doing the compression check the correct way

Quite likely, yes.
If it doesn't, then there is a serious problem.
