To make a long story short my 03 mxz -x- 800 was stolen a couple months ago I found it for sale on craigslist a couple weeks ago and the police recovered it for me. So the scumbag is going to jail and I have my sled but not without damage. It is insured and I am going to take it to the dealer to get estimates but here are my questions - the sled starts and runs fine but I have no lights or gauges it will go into reverse and the alarm beeps but neither the speedo or tach work at all also no brake lights.

There is alot of minor damage and given the high repair costs at shops these days I am thinking that it may be totaled by the insurance company and my thought is to buy it back and make the repairs myself. I am just not sure what would cause these electrical troubles.

Any help would be appreciated!

Make sure everything is plugged in... That is where I would start...

Yea I should have included that I found one plug unplugged so I plugged it back in and checked the fuses and still no luck.

Get the estimate from the dealership, they will tell you what is wrong, then go from there... Let your company total it out!

Well they totaled the sled out and wouldnt let me buy it back because of the vin being removed so my new MXZ X 600etec is due in any day! It will be so nice not to have to worry about stopping at every gas station!
